Oasis of Hope International Ministry is a
Jesus-centered Church for believers and non-believers alike, where we can come
together and
ask difficult questions and wrestle with the tensions and struggles of
practicing an ancient faith (Christianity) in a modern world; a
Church that en-devours to instill growth in the knowledge and understanding of
the Word of God (which remains one of our Primary
focus) ; and a church that’s deeply connected to the plight of the Teens &
Youth in our society and the world altogether. We believe in the
old ‘Come as you are’ mantra, but do not remain the way you are, for no one who
has truly encountered Christ ought to remain the same.
The Oasis of Hope Church recently began a project,… ‘Gather The Remnants’ which
is aimed at empowering teens and youth to be
productive contributors of tomorrow’s society by taking them through a series of
intensive training on subjects such as:
Better Government Relations – Creation of Awareness &
Capacity Building on Government Policies, Better Parent & Society Relations,
Time Management, Romantic Relationships Training,
Financial/Business Training, Career Path Guidance, Training on Life Philosophies
& Moral Code To Live By, Tips For Significance
Success, Spiritual Growth Training, Healthy (Drug Abuse Free) Lifestyle, Music
plus much more,…
These trainings first commenced in form of a Seminar that lasted from 22nd – Aug
– 2018 to 25th – Aug – 2018 and the purpose is to hold
these trainings at least twice every year during semester breaks. The trainings
may take different forms each time they are held, i.e:
Camps, Seminars, Trips e.t.c. The trainings were began in response to the plight
of many parents and the society at large for them to be
held as a result of many teens and youth being exposed to many modern social
ills that often times results to the youth engaging in drug
abuse & radical immorality. The Church, on hearing the plight of these
parents, decided to begin the ‘Gather The Remnants’ project. Our
desire is to better the society we live in that has been overrun by drug abuse,
radical immorality and crime. Majority of the people engaging in these vices are
the teens & youth. We strongly believe that if they can be taken through
intensive training with a caring and
loving support group , they can be transformed.
Any teen & youth is free to enroll to this program.
